Inspection – Quality Assurance Program

The Quality Assurance Program includes regular site inspections, followed up with clear and concise reports sent to all concerned parties.

• Inspection of substrates to ensure adequate surface preparation
• Temperature, moisture, and humidity tests to ensure conditions are appropriate
• Ensure that products used are MPI approved products
• Overview of workmanship to enforce conformance to MPI standards

The cost of the Quality Assurance Program is 5% of the painting contract price (as outlined in the specifications). This includes regular site visits/inspections. Upon successful completion of the project, if eligible, a 2-year maintenance bond for labour and materials should be issued by the painting contractor. Only MPDA member contractors are guaranteed by the association for a two year period.
